eClinicMD FAQ
- Do you need medical records submitted if I'm going to see the Doctor in-person?
Do you need medical records submitted if I'm going to see the Doctor in-person?Yes. Your eClinicMD Doctor will want to see what kind of previous treatment you have had. Your medical records will need to be less than 24 months old and must reference your chief complaint or chronic pain condition along with any medications that have been prescribed for your condition.
Can I be certain that I can get the medications I want when I go see the doctor? You have requested (and paid for) a consultation with our doctor. The outcome of your consultation with the doctor is certainly not pre-determined. Any medications that you are interested in receiving should be discussed during the course of your consultation and the doctor makes the final decision as to whether or not to write a prescription for any medication.
Can I get refills from eClinicMD?Any prescription written to you by our doctors will NOT have any refills on it. Your eClinicMD doctor will want to talk to you each time you need a refill to ensure that there have been no significant changes in your chronic pain condition or any other pertinent aspect of your health. Therefore, you will need to request a follow-up Telehealth consultation with your doctor within the appropriate amount of time after your in-person appointment.
How do I request an appointment or tele-health consultation with my eClinicMD Doctor? You need to go to www.eClinicMD.com each time you wish to request a consultation. You will select either Face-to-Face if you have not had an in-person visit with your eClinicMD Doctor or a Tele-Consult if you are requesting a follow-up visit to your Face-to-Face visit. Your eClinicMD Doctor will be providing continuation of care - NOT providing an initial diagnosis.
How can I pay for the Face-to-Face consultation or Tele-Health consultation? You can easily pay by credit card (AMEX, Discover, Visa, MC), debit card, a refillable gift card (Visa, MC, Amex), money order, or cashier's check.
Can I go to a doctor in a state different than the one I live in?While many of our doctors are licensed in multiple states, you have to reside in a state where the doctor is licensed. These guidelines vary from state to state. For more information in regards to your state and/or a location of a physician in our network, please phone us at 866-579-1310 or contact us for more information.
Is my information secure and private?Be assured that our web site uses the latest SSL encryption technology to ensure that your personal information is submitted safely and with the highest level of protection. All of our computer systems undergo regular security checks to ensure that your information is properly protected. Additionally, your medical or payment information is never compromised or sold to any third parties - ever!
How much does it cost for treatment with eClinicMD?Initial In-Person examinations are $285.00. Follow Up telemedicine consultations are $165.00. Subsequent In-Person consultations will vary per physician location, but will never be more than the initial in person fee of $285.00. |
